The Pro Shop

The Pro Shop is shared by Formby Golf Club and Formby Ladies Golf Club offering a welcoming service to all our customers. We offer a wide range of golfing brands, including hardware, accessories and clothing. The Pro Shop is known to have the largest selection of ladies clothing in the North West. We stock some of the most popular clothing brands in golf including Rohnisch, Pure Golf, Nivo, Glenmuir and Tails. We offer a complete range of merchandise, so that everyone can go home with a memento of the club.

Shop services

Shop services include demo days and an indoor coaching facility with the use of GASP LAB and ball flight technology. Coaching is available for groups and individuals from all our professionals. Lessons are available seven days a week and cover all aspects of the game from swing improvement to course management.

In the shop we provide hire sets, pull and electric trolleys for members and visitors.

Meet the team

Head PGA Professional Andrew Witherup

Andrew Witherup is the Head Professional at Formby Golf Club and Formby Ladies Golf Club and has been in this role since 2007. During his time at Formby, Andrew has developed a highly rated coaching and retail service. Andrew provides professional coaching to members and guests both outdoors and in the indoor facility. Andrew focuses on the growth of the game, regularly running taster training programmes for women and juniors.

Assistant Professional Eva Brunskill

Eva has had a passion for the game from a young age and has had the privilege of representing Lancashire and North West England Girls Squad at a junior level. Furthering her golfing career, she pursued a golf scholarship in the USA, achieving a BSc in Psychology and a minor in Kinesiology and Coaching. Eva’s goals are to complete her PGA qualifications and further her skills within the game.

Assistant Professional James Holland

James has been very successful in his amateur career representing Lancashire, winning the Lancashire Links Trophy and competing in over 50 county matches. James started his PGA qualifications in October 2024 and is keen to further his coaching skills and knowledge within the game.
